Mission For All Nations is a faith-based charitable organization founded to put Love into Action by providing food, clothing, shelter and other necessities to people of all ethnic backgrounds who are in need. We are creating an environment where lives are being changed instead of fostering dependency. Mission For All Nations currently serves nearly 25,000 people each year in our programs.
Our Homelessness and Hunger Prevention program supplies a food pantry order to provide nearly ½ a million meals to 22,500 needy individuals, making it the largest food pantry in the state of Nebraska. In addition to food, we provide clothing, hygiene products, and household items to families in need.

Miriam’s Story

Struggling to Find Work |
Miriam and her husband Ricardo have 4 girls. She said that it is very hard to find work right now. Her family had moved to another city hoping to find work because they could not find jobs in Omaha. When they still could not find work there, they decided to come back. Miriam was especially grateful when she came to Mission For All Nations because in addition to food & hygiene items, she was able to find a nice table and some clothing for her girls. She said, “The laundry detergent really helped because my girls really dirty clothes. Thank you very much for everything.”

Special Announcements
The increase in demand for our services has been nearly overwhelming. We are so thankful for the volunteers, churches, businesses, and supporting agencies that helped us to supply double the usual number of clients with a 5-7 day supply of food. However, due to increases in our expenses and decreases in our funding, we have been forced to make some cutbacks. One change is that the newsletter will only be produced every other month. Another change is that our transitional housing program has been placed on hold. Unless significant additional funding comes soon, additional cutbacks will be announced.

Dear Friends,
This month has been filled with poignant moments: Miriam’s near tears over a table, the joy of an abandoned wife 8 months pregnant at finding a large pink baby blanket, a cheerful elderly man who drove his wheelchair 2 miles alone in the cold for food, young mothers shivering outside in the cold in flip-flops and light jackets waiting until we opened to distribute food and clothing. We never could have served 50 tons of food to nearly 5,000 people last month without the last minute remodeling provided in early November by Lord of Hosts Church. Shelves were knocked out and clothing moved to the 5213 building to make a larger waiting area. However, in spite of the additional waiting space, having double the number of clients meant there were still long lines outside in the cold. Take action today to make a difference.
